<image:caption>Holding space for another person means to grant room for that person's soul to come out of hiding. To paraphrase author Parker Palmer, often our souls are like wild animals and need to feel safe in order show up. As a Spiritual Director, I maintain a container for reflection, prayer, dreaming, and exploration with a fellow pilgrim. In quiet times and places, and in the quiet space of spiritual direction, we listen for the soul’s yearnings, the Trinity’s pursuit, and the intersection of the two. In guided retreats and small classes, I teach a rhythm of life that supports soul care, self-care, and the reflection of Love and the Kingdom into the world around us. Join us — there's a holding space here for you! - Julie Commander, Holding Space Ministries "What does it mean to hold space for someone else? It means that we are willing to walk alongside another person in whatever journey they’re on without judging them, making them feel inadequate, trying to fix them, or trying to impact the outcome. When we hold space for other people, we open our hearts, offer unconditional support, and let go of judgment and control." -Heather Plett</image:caption>

There are ways you can open your soul to that song: places where it is more easily heard, practices that attune the ear of your heart, people who will help you listen. <image:title>The Voice Project - The Voice Project</image:title>
<image:caption>The Project is an outgrowth of conversations with directees, friends, relatives and associates that reveal a lifelong impact on a woman’s self-perception, mental health, and trust in God as a result of the Church’s messages regarding the feminine voice and the presence of women in its midst. My starting point is to offer a two-hour conversation with volunteers, an interview of sorts, where we unpack your experiences with your voice being heard and/or silenced in your faith community. It is my desire to assist women in the following ways: • Ask questions aimed at helping a woman unsnarl her journey. • Support her understanding of past influencers on her voice and give her permission to express herself. • Create an environment conducive to healing the emotions related to her experience of enforced silence/reduced voice.</image:caption>
